UW-La Crosse 67, UW-River Falls 52
River Falls, Wis. - Taylor Larson scored a career-high 21 points as the UW-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 67-52 win at 18th-ranked UW-River Falls Wednesday night in the Karges Center. The Eagles improve to 11-5 overall and 3-4 in the WIAC while the Falcons fall to 13-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference. UW-River Falls is ranked 18th on d3hoops.com and 16th in the
USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.
The Eagles never trailed in Wednesday's contest, racing out to a 17-5 lead with 13:47 remaining in the first half. UW-L led by as many as 18 points in the first half before UW-River Falls cut the halftime lead to 33-23.
The Falcons could get no closer than eight points in the second half, 33-25 with 19:22 left.
Larson finished six-of-10 from the field, including six-of-nine from three-point range. She was three-of-four at the free throw line.

Danielle Frank each had 11 points for the Eagles. Frank also had a game-high 11 rebounds.
UW-L shot 51.2% from the field, including 40.0% (eight-of-20) from three-point range. The Eagles shot 75.0% (15-of-20) at the free throw line.
Tiffany Gregorich led UW-River Falls with 13 points while Maranda Dohrn finished with 10 points. The Falcons shot 29.5% from the field, including 18.2% (two-of-11) from three-point range. UW-River Falls shot 66.7% (14-of-21) at the line.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 20 hosting UW-Oshkosh at 7:05 p.m.
