NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Results
Rock Island, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's cross country placed ninth at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Midwest Regional Saturday at Saukie Golf Course. The Eagles finished with 230 team points. North Central College (Ill.) took the men's regional crown with 37 points.
UW-Platteville placed second (86 points) followed by UW-Stevens Point (114), Washington University, Mo. (122), UW-Oshkosh (173), UW-Eau Claire (187), UW-Whitewater (220), Augustana College, Ill. (227), UW-L (230) and the University of Chicago, Ill. (244). A total of 39 teams competed.
David Stilin was the Eagles' top runner, finishing 32nd overall with a time of 24:52.2 on the 8,000-meter course. He earns all-region honors with his 32nd-place finish.
UW-L's
Carlton Folster was 41st overall (25:05.8) while
Zach Wilhelmy finished 42nd (25:07.2) and
Sean Harrington 45th (25:10.6).
The Eagles'
Alex Ciesielski was 70th (25:32.8) while
Brian Shonat placed 84th (25:45.6) and
Phill Hernandez 106th (26:04.6). A total of 275 runners competed.
