Hamline University Triangular Results
St. Paul, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team captured the Hamline University Triangular Sunday afternoon in St. Paul. The Eagles finished with a team score of 184.175 while Winona State University (Minn.) was second with 180.550 and Hamline third with 169.100.
UW-L's
Courtney Gonzales captured the all-around title (36.675) and balance beam (9.300) Sunday. She was also second on the floor exercise (9.500).
The Eagles'
Gabi Hooper won the vault (9.600) and floor exercise (9.625) while finishing fifth on the uneven parallel bars (8.950).
Other top finishes Sunday included
Chelsy Luck ,
Taylor Cochran and
Emily Dinse tying for second on the uneven parallel bars (9.100).
Kahlynn Hunt was third (9.350) and
Katrina Schuch fourth (9.250) on the vault.
Rachel Budelier tied for second on the balance beam (9.250) while Cochran and
Jen Andersen tied for fourth (9.200). On the floor exercise,
Kendra Klein was fourth (9.350) while
Kelsey Matula and Dinse tied for fifth (9.325).
UW-L returns to action Sunday, March 7 at the WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.). Action begins at 3 p.m. in St. Peter, Minnesota.
