Pointer Qualifier Results
Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team competed at the Pointer Qualifier Saturday afternoon at UW-Stevens Point. No team scores were recorded. The Eagles'
Ashton May captured the long jump (19-5 1/2) and automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. She tied UW-L's long jump record of 19-5 1/2 held by
Caitlin Schetter set in 2009. May was also sixth in the 55-meter dash (7.29) with a provisionally qualification mark Saturday.
The Eagles'
Christy Bohl tied for third in the shot put (45-1 1/2) and placed fourth in the weight throw (53-4 1/2). She provisionally qualified for the national meet in both events.
Kailey Charlton was fourth in the 55-meter dash (7.24) and sixth in the long jump (16-6 1/2). She provisionally qualified in the 55-meter dash.
UW-L's 4x400-meter relay also provisionally qualified with a fourth-place finish of 3:55.05. The Eagles' distance medley relay was sixth with a time of 12:15.20.
Kaitlyn Joyce tied for fourth in the pole vault (11-3 3/4) while
Jenna Starck tied for sixth in the high jump (5-1 3/4). UW-L's
Sarah Zurowski finished fifth in the triple jump (35-6 1/2).
In the pole vault,
Stephanie Peters and
Christy Moses tied for seventh in the pole vault (10-4).
UW-L returns to action Friday, March 12 at the NCAA III Championships in Greencastle, Ind.
