La Crosse, Wis. - Friends of Baseball at UW-L, a committee whose primary goal is the future financial security of the program has been formed.
A cross-section of alumni, community leaders, parents, former players, and baseball fans will mobilize supporters to use their time, talents, and treasures to keep the UW-L baseball program vibrant and growing.
Committee members include
Jerry Augustine, former Milwaukee Brewers and UW-L pitcher;
Bill Terry, former UW-L baseball coach;
Patty Loew, UW-Madison professor, co-host of
In Wisconsin on Wisconsin Public Television and UW-L alum;
Dr. Jay Ellingson, board member of the Harmon Killibrew Foundation;
Gary Gonczy, director of marketing for Kwik Trip, Inc.;
Don Vingers, former UW-L player; and
Dan Kunz, former baseball coach at Onalaska Luther High School and UW-L alum.
The UW-L baseball coach and a member of the UW-L Foundation will serve as advisors to the committee.
