Naperville, Ill. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student-athletes Jenna Starck and Sheila Opelt completed competition in the heptathlon at the North Central College Gregory Invitational Wednesday afternoon at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. Both provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with their performances.

Starck placed second overall with 4,443 points while Opelt was sixth with 4,206 points. A total of seven competitors took part Tuesday and Wednesday.

The NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, May 27-29 in Berea, Ohio.

UW-L returns to action Thursday, May 20 hosting the UW-L Qualifier at 4 p.m. at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
