Kimberly (H.S.) have been selected to the Great Lakes Third Team. All four players were named to the 2010 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team.
Ahnen, who was also named the 2010 WIAC Position Player of the Year, earned her second straight all-region selection. She was named to the first team in 2009. Ahnen led UW-L with a .468 batting average in 2010, which ranks second in single-season school history. Her 74 hits this year set a single-season school record while her 158 at-bats is second.
She scored 44 runs this season after finishing with a school record 49 in 2009. Ahnen led UW-L in doubles (11), triples (3), total bases (97) and stolen bases (14) in 2010. She was fourth in RBI (31) while starting all 47 contests.
Ahnen ranks first in career batting average (.442) at UW-L while being second in career hits (180) and runs (118). She also ranks third in stolen bases (40), fourth in doubles (31), sixth in RBI (80) and tied for eighth in home runs (8).
Selected the 2010 WIAC Pitcher of the Year, Schultz finished 24-4 this season with a 1.56 earned run average. Her 24 wins and 179.2 innings both rank first in single-season school history. She recorded 178 strikeouts to 27 walks in 2010. The 178 strikeouts is second-most in UW-L history.
Schultz appeared in 31 games this year, ranking third in single-season school history. She had 17 complete games, five shutouts and held opponents to a .203 batting average.
Compiling a career record of 47-20 with a 2.19 earned run average, Schultz ranks second in school history in victories. She is also second in career strikeouts (408) and innings pitched (421.0) and third in appearances (82). Schultz, a 2009 All-WIAC Honorable Mention selection, has 33 career complete-games and 11 shutouts.
Croak and Salm both started all 47 games in 2010. Croak hit .404 and led UW-L in at-bats (166) and runs (49) while ranking second in hits (67) and stolen bases (10). A 2008 all-conference honorable mention selection, Croak was also named to the 2009 All-WIAC First Team. Her 49 runs in 2010 is tied for first in single-season school history while her 166 at-bats set a school record. Croak's 67 hits is second.
She ends her career at UW-L ranking first in at-bats (519), runs (151), hits (198) and stolen bases (50). Croak also ranks third in career batting (.382) while appearing in 167 games.
Salm hit .338 in 2010 while leading UW-L with 45 RBI and finishing second with nine home runs. Her 45 RBI tied the single-season school record while nine home runs ranks third.
She ranks first in UW-L history in home runs (20) and RBI (131) while being third in at-bats (485), seventh in doubles (24) and ninth in runs (64).
UW-L finished 38-9 overall and 16-0 in the WIAC in 2010 to record its first league title in school history. The Eagles also won their second straight WIAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III Regional. UW-L went 2-2 in the regional.
The team set school records for wins (39), winning streak (21), at-bats (1,317), runs (283), hits (431), RBI (254), doubles (67) and home runs (39) this season. UW-L tied its school record for games played (47) while finishing with the second-best average (.327). The Eagles set pitching records for innings (322.0) and strikeouts (283).
