Women's Track & Field Team Earns Scholar Award
Seven Student-Athletes Honored

UW-L swept the 2010 conference indoor and outdoor titles.
New Orleans, La. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team has earned a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic Award for the 2010 season. The Eagles, one of 106 institutions to earn the distinction, compiled a cumulative 3.37 grade point average.
Along with the team academic award, seven student-athletes were named to the 2010 USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team. Seniors Christy Bohl, Kaitlyn Joyce and Ashton May; juniors Kailey Charlton and Leeanne Nowicki; sophomore Laurel Beck and freshman Rebecca Scheuermann each earned the honor.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either the NCAA Division III indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard.
UW-L swept the 2010 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) indoor and outdoor championships. The Eagles tied for sixth at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Championships and placed seventh at the outdoor meet.
Pat Healy completed his 19th year as head coach at UW-L in 2010.
