Winona, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team split a pair of matches Sunday, March 27 in Winona. The Eagles, now 14-4 on the season, earned a 5-4 victory over The College of St. Benedict (Minn.) before falling 5-4 to Winona State University (Minn.). UW-L had its four-match winning streak snapped with its loss to Winona State.
Versus St. Benedict (Minn.), UW-L took four of the six singles matches.
Kelly Stadum (No. 1),
Katie McDonald (No. 2),
Jenny Maruyama (No. 3) and
Mara Weiner (No. 4) recorded wins for the Eagles.

Abby Tresedder/Maruyama earned the win at No. 2 doubles over St. Benedict.
Winona State won four of six singles in its win over UW-L. Weiner (No. 4) and
Andrea Vivian (No. 6) picked up victories for the Eagles.
UW-L won two of the three doubles matches, including Maruyama/Tresedder (No. 2) and
Karie Williams/
Julia Johnson (No. 3).
UW-L returns to action Friday, April 1 at St. Mary's University (Minn.) at 6 p.m.
