UW-Stout Zuerlein Invitational Results
Menomonie, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad captured the John Zuerlein Invitational at UW-Stout Friday night in Johnson Fieldhouse. The Eagles totaled a team score of 182.800 while UW-Stout was second at 179.075. Hamline University (Minn.) placed third (174.550) and Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) was fourth (172.575). UW-L set single-season highs on the balance beam (45.575) and floor exercise (46.425) Friday night.
The Eagles'
Christa Booman placed second in the all-around (36.850) Friday. She won the uneven parallel bars (9.400) while finishing fourth on the vault (9.400) and tied for eighth on the balance beam (8.975).
UW-L's
Jenna Swails captured the floor exercise (9.650) and tied for second on the vault (9.425) with teammate
Katrina Schuch, who also tied for third on the floor exercise (9.425).
Morgan Shene was second on the uneven parallel bars (9.375) and tied for second on the balance beam (9.450).
Other top finishes included
Kristen Busche third on the uneven parallel bars (9.300),
Kjirsten Jacobson tying for third on the floor exercise (9.425) and
Jessica Herrmann placing fourth on the balance beam (9.275).
The Eagles'
Tegan Oare was sixth on the vault (9.275) while
Jen Andersen was seventh on the balance beam (9.205).
UW-L returns to action Friday, February 3 hosting the Gershon/McLellan Invitational at 6 p.m. Joining UW-L will be UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, Winona State University (Minn.) and Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.).
