Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 4-2 to the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles drop to 3-5-5 on the season while the Tommies improve to 7-6-1.
UW-L took a 1-0 lead as
Kelly Denk scored on a penalty kick at 13:16. The Eagles led 1-0 at halftime.
St. Thomas (Minn.) tied the match at 1-1 as Brielle Bierman scored at 47:51 assisted by Taylor Sabrowski. The Eagles quickly regained the lead at 49:00 as
Kirsten Anderson scored unassisted.
The Tommies then scored three straight goals to take a 4-2 advantage. Kari Solheim tied it at 2-2 at 52:43 and Bierman tallied her second goal of the match and the winning goal at 65:37. Hayley Engel added a goal at 85:29 to finish the scoring.
UW-L finished with 10 shots, including three on goal. St. Thomas totaled 22 shots, including 11 on goal.

Ashley Tracy recorded seven saves while the Tommies Tarynn Theilig had one.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, October 22 at Saint Mary's University (Minn.) at 7 p.m.
