Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 1-0 to UW-Eau Claire Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles, ranked 24th on this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top-25 Poll, drops to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The Blugolds improve to 6-6-1 overall and 3-1 in the WIAC.
UWL had its five-game winning streak snapped and allowed its first goal in conference play this season with Friday's 1-0 loss. The Eagles have outscored their WIAC opponents, 14-1, in 2016.
The game was scoreless at halftime Friday as UWL had eight shots while UW-Eau Claire totaled three.
UW-Eau Claire took a 1-0 lead at 60:24 as Caroline Henderson scored unassisted. It was her team leading sixth goal of the season.
UWL outshot UW-Eau Claire, 23-5, in the game, including 15-2 in the second half. The Eagles totaled 12 shots on goal overall.
Haley Hartkemeyer finished with five shots overall, including three on goal.

Natalie Herzog each had two shots on goal.
UW-Eau Claire finished with four shots on goal in the game.
Kennedy Brault (9-3) suffered the loss for UWL, recording three saves. Samantha Lefaive (5-5-1) earned the victory for UW-Eau Claire as she finished with 12 saves.
UWL had six corner kicks while UW-Eau Claire finished with one.
UWL returns to action Wednesday, October 19 at Saint Mary's University (Minn.) at 7 p.m.
