UW-La Crosse 191.675, UW-Whitewater 191.275
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 191.675 to 191.275 dual victory over UW-Whitewater Friday night in Mitchell Hall on Senior Night. The Eagles scored 47.625 on the vault; 47.875 on the uneven parallel bars; 48.175 on the balance beam and 48.000 on the floor exercise.
UWL's 48.175 on the balance beam is a season-high.
Samantha Wiekamp finished second in the all-around (38.225) while winning the floor exercise (9.725). She was also fifth on the balance beam (9.650).
The Eagles'
Amy Enright captured the uneven parallel bars (9.725) Friday while
Leah Spankowski and
Kari Willett tied for first on the balance beam (9.700). Enright was also sixth on the balance beam (9.600).
Willett and
Elsa Spitzmueller tied for first on the floor exercise (9.725). Willett was also third on the vault (9.675).
Other top finishes Friday included
Abby Ostrovsky tied for second on the uneven parallel bars (9.675) while
Dani Barmore was fourth (9.650).
Savana Kettner placed fifth on the floor exercise (9.650).
UWL returns to action Thursday, March 2 at Winona State University (Minn.) at 6:30 p.m.
