AVCA Top-25 Poll
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team is ranked 21st on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 Poll, released Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles moved down five places in the coaches poll.
Calvin College (Mich.) is ranked first while Southwestern University (Texas) is second followed by Wittenberg University (Ohio) third, Emory University (Ga.) fourth and Colorado College fifth. UW-Whitewater is ranked 11th and UW-Stevens Point 25th. UW-Oshkosh is receiving votes.
UWL went 2-2 at the Augsburg College (Minn.) Invitational September 8-9.
Stephanie Henk leads the Eagles with 104 kills (3.71 per set) while hitting .265.
Laine Hoeffel is second in kills with 58 (2.07).
Madison Entinger has team-high 259 assists (9.25) with UWL hititng .190 as a team.
Halle Barnabo, named to the Augsburg (Minn.) Invitational All-Tournament Team, leads the Eagles with 136 digs (5.23).
Kathryn Maas has a team-leading 32 blocks (1.14).
UWL, 6-3 on the season, returns to action Friday, September 15 hosting Luther College (Iowa) at 7 p.m. in the Eagles' season opener in Mitchell Hall. Luther (Iowa) is receiving votes on this week's AVCA Top-25 Poll.
