La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad earned a 187.875-174.275 victory over Gustavus Adolphus University (Minn.) Friday night in Mitchell Hall in the home opener for the Eagles.
The Eagles scored 46.975 on the vault; 46.900 on the uneven parallel bars; 47.250 on the balance beam and 46.750 on the floor exercise.
UWL captured individual titles on all four events, and took the top six spots on three-of-four events on Friday.
Jessica Ahrens captured the vault (9.550) on the Eagles first rotation. In the second rotation,
Amy Enright won the bars crown (9.625), followed by a win from
Leah Spankowski on beam (9.625). UWL finished the night on floor, with
Sam Weyker as the event champion (9.500).

Ellie Beckman took second on vault (9.550) and floor (9.400), while
Ally Blixt was second on beam (9.600) and
Breghan Kiloran second on bars (9.600). Â
Kiloran also tied for third on floor with
Lauren Wilson (9.300), while
Dani Barmore was third on bars (9.350).  Weyker earned third place finishes on vault (9.400) and beam (9.550). Â
UWL returns to action Friday, January 19 at Hamline University (Minn.) at 6:30 p.m.
