Performance Nutrition: “We are what we eat”, is a common phrase that is especially true for athletes who are training for optimal sports performance. Nutrition seems to be one of the last stops that athletes make to improve performance but should be one of the first as they take that next step in being a successful collegiate athlete.
At UW-L, athletes have the ability to enroll in a sports nutrition plan similar to a campus meal plan. Once enlisted in a nutrition plan athletes have access to all the nutritional products available in the nutrition center located in the sports performance center.
