Exercise and Sport Science: One of the biggest competitive advantages that our athletes have available to them is our exercise and sport science department and staff. Yearly UW-L athletes participate in research studies and experiments conducted through our ESS department as they continue to improve on UW-L’s already outstanding academic reputation.
The collaboration between departments allow for greater variance in training, advanced testing measures and the use of sophisticated lab techniques usually only performed on professional athletes. Dr. Glenn Wright, Ph.D is the primary faculty member who collaborates with the athletics department.
Dr. Wright serves as the director of our human performance graduate program and has strong ties to the sports performance field serving at one point in his professional career as a Division-I strength coach.
