West Salem, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country placed eighth at the Tori Neubauer Invitational Saturday morning at Maple Grove Country Club. The Eagles finished with 238 team points while North Dakota State University took the women's crown with 82 points. The University of Minnesota was second with 107 while Luther College (Iowa) was third wtih 114.
St. Olaf College, Minn. placed fourth (118) followed by UW-Eau Claire (129), Nebraska Wesleyan University (139), Wartburg College, Iowa (165), UW-L (238), Gustavus Adolphus College, Minn. (267) and UW-Platteville (275) to round out the top-10. A total of 28 teams scored points.
UW-L's
Rachel Boldt finished 28th overall, covering the 6,000-meter course in 22:.25.7. The Eagles'
Rachel Schroeder was 39th (22:38.8) while
Ellen Kumm placed 47th (22:46.3).
Others placing in the top-115 for UW-L included

North Dakota State's Amy Jo Thorne won the individual title at 21:34.6.
UW-L returns to action Friday, Oct. 22 at the Lake Wissota Invitational in Chippewa Falls at 4 p.m.
