UW-La Crosse 192.125, UW-Whitewater 190.975
Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 192.125 to 190.975 dual victory at UW-Whitewater Saturday night. The Eagles scored 48.050 on the vault, 48.225 on the uneven parallel bars, 47.600 on the balance beam and 48.250 on the floor exercise.
UWL's overall (192.125) and uneven parallel bars (48.225) scores were both season-highs.
Ally Blixt won the balance beam Saturday night.
The Eagles won all four individual events as well as the all-around Saturday.
Dani Barmore took the vault (9.775) title while
Brooke Kachinsky won the uneven parallel bars (9.700) and
Ally Blixt the balance beam (9.625). UWL's
Lauren Wilson tied for the crown on the floor exercise (9.750).Â
Samantha Wiekamp captured the all-around (38.225) while finishing second on the vault (9.700).Â
Along with the winning the vault, Barmore finished third on the balance beam (9.575) and tied for fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.525). Kachinsky was second on the balance beam (9.600) to go along with her uneven parallel bars crown. Wilson tied for sixth on the vault (9.500) along with her first-place tie on the floor exercise.
The Eagles'
Amy Enright tied for second on the uneven parallel bars (9.675) and third on the floor exercise (9.725).
Leah Spankowski finished fourth on the vault (9.625) and
Jenna Danninger was fourth on the floor exercise (9.700).
Breghan Kiloran tied for fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.525).
UWL returns to action Sunday, March 4 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional. Action starts at 2 p.m. at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in St. Peter, Minnesota.
